About

My yoga journey began in 2014 when I started my first year of graduate school in Long Beach, California. What began as a casual workout routine turned into the most essential outlet for me to relieve myself from the emotional struggles that came along with navigating life in academia. While my life continued to be abundant with change and transitions, my practice has always been the one thing that really remained. My mat is the place where I feel safe, empowered, strong--and dare I even say graceful!

I moved to Madison, Wisconsin to begin my PhD in English in 2017, where I discovered my home away from home, Inner Fire Yoga. It is there that the seed was planted for me to pursue my teacher training, and the loving and supportive community helped me believe that I was capable and deserving of doing so.

I traveled to India in June of 2019 where I completed my 200 hour program in Rishikesh, known as the birthplace of yoga. This was hands down the best decision I have ever made. I learned so much from my teachers, my classmates, and the vibrant energy of the place itself. I spent the entire month diving deep into what it really means to practice yoga--beyond the physical asanas, and the beautiful things that come from furnishing a mind-body connection.

When I returned to Madison, I was fortunate enough at Inner Fire as a Candlelight and Power Flow instructor. My experience teaching brought so much joy into my life and quickly became the highlight of my week. There is something profoundly rewarding about helping others to feel good in their own bodies--to furnish love and compassion in the midst of a world that often pushes us towards self-criticism. It has been my desire to incorporate all that I have learned (and continue to learn) into the way that I teach yoga. I have so much love and respect for this practice and the way it opens up such pathways that bring us closer to ourselves. It is important to me to cultivate a class environment that is inclusive embraces all bodies and promotes unapologetic self-care.

I have recently moved to Berlin, Germany, and am eager to become a part of this vast yoga community.

I look forward to flowing with you, beautiful yogi!
